I’m Margot the Principal and Creative Director at Margot Klockmann Design, a boutique interior design firm based in Wahroonga on Sydneys Upper North Shore.

I’ve always been passionate about design, however an early career in IT and finance provided a sound base for running the business side of things and managing client budgets but it was the love of colour and design that led me to a Diploma of Interior Design and I haven’t looked back.

At the heart of MK Design is the wonderful clients we get to work with.  All our projects start with a consultation with me.  I will listen to your requirements, and we will share ideas and discuss design outcomes.  I believe the design process is a collaboration and it’s this relationship that brings the best results.  It’s also why my clients truly feel at home once their renovation is complete as it reflects who they are and how they want to feel in their homes.

As a mother with teenagers, I appreciate the demands of busy family life and the practicalities required in designing spaces that not only look great but work hard for you.  With this knowledge my designs offer functional solutions, inter woven with design creativity and flair.

My personal values of honesty, hard work, transparency, communication underpin our creativity all of which help to deliver our projects successfully. 

Working our teams of skilled trades and suppliers we work hard behind the scenes to take the stress and worry out of your renovation so you don’t have to.  With a sharp eye, not only on your design but your budget and timeline our robust processes will keep your project on track.
